Raiders Booster___________________________________ My philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices I make. At the end of the day, I've shaped my life, and the choices I've made are ultimately my own responsibility. Even though we guard ourselves against it, we tend to shape ourselves in the image others have of us. It is not so much the example of others we imitate, as the reflection of ourselves in their eyes and the echo of ourselves in their words. Finding that balance between who you are and who your friends want you to be is delicate at best. What's worse the process does not end until we die. There came a time when I knew I had to stand alone when I felt confident enough or should I say Deperate enough within myself to follow my own dreams! I had to be willing to make sacrifices and be capable of changing and rearranging my priorities so that my final goals could be achieved. I Allowed my own inner Light to Guide me, sometimes familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when I have to take a few extra chances and create my own realities. I have to be strong enough to at least try to make my life better, be confident enough not settle for a compromise just to get by, appreciate myself by allowing myself the opportunities to grow and develop, to find my true sense of purpose in this life.Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your light that should lead the way! I believe life is a series of near misses. Alot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all, it is seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future. It's seeing what other people don't see. And pursuing that vision!Life and death, sorrow and peace... If I die today, it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I've made and would have unmade, if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above.At my age I can honestly say, I understand Mark Twian's comment... "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
