About Me

CHAPTER 1
Born in Townsville, I was raised as a little princess and put in lacey dresses but found I had a penchant for hip-hop, rap and r&b styling due to the influence of my two older brothers in my early teens.
Moving in 1999 from Townsville to Bangkok with a Gr 10 diploma in street basketball and a fairly ghetto accent, I - as a young troubled teen - found solace at ISB, an international school of rich american kids who introduced me to tequila, and other exotic and dangerous vices.
After a slight trip gone bad, which involved an angry maid, a flooded room and ultimately a heavy dose of paranoeia, I decided to move back to Townsville and attempt Gr 11. Then my mother heard from God and moved us all to Victoria where i straightened (so to speak) my crooked ways and completed my schooling. I learnt lots...
After school i moved to Canberra to attend (so to speak)the ANU and study a bachelor of Arts/law. I can safely say that lectures were more like drawing classes - once somebody asked me if i was in the right room...i said no. To pass the time i acquired a job at King O'Malleys and worked my butt off to renovate some houses back home in Fiji. It was all worth it when I won a karaoke competition that included 2 tickets to fiji, $500 and five nights at the sheraton for me and a mate. At this stage i still had great hopes to continue uni and find some area in law that didn't bore me to tears...
On my return to Canberra I moved out of college for the first time and bought a magic bullet from those infomercials on tv and honestly pina coladas at 11am most days is not to be recommended. And then i met George :) we make music now. a few days later i met El :) we make 3 year plans that change almost every day.
Thus began the slow degredation of my uni studies into indefinite deferral and the beginning of a new world of music and festivals. Of rainbows and emotional rollercoasters. Of recording cds and writing music. Of fishnets, ties and travelling around this great country in a big bus with a big band. Of future plans and present excitement. Labor's in and Johnny's out... :)
I am here now...
