Seven Kingdoms

American Epic Melodic Death Thrash Power Metal

About Me

When their previous band This Solemn Vow fell apart during the summer of 2006, Camden Cruz and Bryan Edwards decided to continue playing and recording new music just for fun. Their first song, "Shadow And Flame," helped earn Camden an endorsement with Bernie Rico Jr. Guitars.
Camden was a central part of the opening ceremonies of the Daytona Supercross Championship in March 2007, playing in front of a crowd of over 50,000 people. This would go on to earn him an endorsement with Krank Amplification, and set Camden and Bryan's sights on higher goals.
Continuing where they left off, Camden and Bryan re-recorded "Shadow And Flame" with new lyrics and arrangement under the title "Dragonflight." This would be the first of many songs to come (eventually culminating into a full album of material).
Knowing that solid recordings alone would not make them a true band, Camden and Bryan sought out other musicians who could compliment their style. Kevin Byrd joined soon afterward on rhythm guitars, as well as his brother Keith on drums. John Zambrotto and Cory Stene found their way into the band later ..boards and bass, respectively.
Under the name of Seven Kingdoms, they entered the legendary Morrisound Recording Studios in August 2007 and finished production on their debut album, "Brothers of the Night". They have also shared the stage with well known metal bands such as Sonata Arctica, The Agonist and The Absence.
With the coming of a new year and new music to be written, Seven Kingdoms find themselves with new direction. John has regretfully been released from the band, since keyboards will not be a large part of the new songs. However, as one brother must leave, another shall take their place. Seven Kingdoms welcomes their new second vocalist, Sabrina Valentine!
This is music of, by and for the metal community. We do not sacrifice musicianship for mediocrity. With inspiration gathered largely from the literary works of George R. R. Martin , and influences spanning the vastness of metal's subgenres, Seven Kingdoms seeks to carve its own niche in metal history and create something genuinely unique... yet undeniably METAL.
Reviews of "Brothers of the Night"
"Speaking of Death Metal, Seven Kingdoms' self-released 'Brothers of the Night' offers plenty of it, as well as some Iced Earth-ish darkly melodic power metal, all enveloped in a medieval knightly atmosphere. The mix of elements never feels forced, so if you're looking for something with a bit more bite than usual you could do far worse. 7/10"
- Terrorizer Magazine
"...If you want something a little faster and much meaner than your average pretty power metal CD, while still being very melodic, and don't mind a good amount of growling vocals, then this is a pretty outstanding choice."
- Metal CD Ratings
"...Seven Kingdoms are clearly pushing for their own sound, and a real compliment I can give is that this band doesn't really sound like anyone else.A very strong debut from a band to watch, this CD can be had from them directly, and is definitely worth the investment. This was recorded at the venerable Morrisound Studio, so it sounds great, and the artwork and layout are very pro. Power Metal fans who like some meat on their music should get into this."
- The Metal Crypt
"...Florida’s Seven Kingdoms is a metal band whose music style is indefinable. That their first full-length Brothers of the Night is indefinable yet still metal, is proof of the versatility of this American band. What do you think it sounds like, then? "
Metalrage.com
"...This band is going to go far and beyond, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in June. This is a must have for any Metalhead. BUY THIS CD!!!!"
-Vampire Metal Magazine
"...My guess is that Seven Kingdoms will be scooped up by a major metal label sooner rather than later. There's a boatload of talent here on Brothers of the Night, showing a band that knows how to write memorable metal tunes that touch on a batch of different styles, and they have plenty of chops to boot. If it sounds like a winning formula, it certainly is."
