Arbalest

About Me

Arbalest was founded by Lead Guitarist Jason McGhee and Vocalist/Bassist Adam Shaw over two years ago. The duo started by jamming to old Maiden and Testament songs, occasionally writing original material, until they came to the conclusion that they wanted to turn this into a band. The 2 Co-founders began jamming with other musicians, including Legato Jeremy, and Drew Vereb (current drummer) on guitar and bass. Over a year had gone by, and the two had gone through at least 10 potential band members, but none of which had the time or dedication to play. Finally, an old friend of Jason's, Jay Robinson (former Bassist of Aboleth) Offered to play Guitar for Arbalest, and brought one almost complete song with him. The band, with 3 nearly complete songs in hand contacted Drew Vereb, who had picked up the drums over the past year. The 4 jammed together, and the Arbalest was finally on its feet. the band played for the entire spring/summer of 08, and built quite a following. after as 7 month hiatus and a slight lineup change, arbalest is back on its feet once again!.
