My Interests

Music:

Band Website: ...at the moment this is all you are getting...
Band Members: Mike Leonard Coen and his musical (younger) brother Mal Leonard Coen. Guest artists by invitation.
Influences:A great deal of mutual respect from The Brothers to:Bing Crosby (he always knew where the one was), Charles Trenet, Dave Graney, Jethro Tull, The Magnetic Fields, Hector Zazou...Mal tips the lid to:David's Bridie and Bowie, Susheela Raman Wainwrights R and M, Buckley Snr, The Cure, Belle and Sebastian (for those fey moments)...Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Fureys, This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance, The Kinsey Sicks, Bjork (in all her guises) Cat Power, Cocteau Twins, Possum Dixon...need I go on?Mike is terribly keen on:Les Chauds Lapins, Robert Wyatt, Joan As Police Woman, Susumu Yokota, Boards Of Canada, Asa Chang and Jun Ray, Beachwood Sparks, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Pan American, The Broadway Project, Reaching Quiet, Autechre and Bob Drake.
Sounds Like: Just imagine Bryan Ferry wandering through a supermarket. He finds a Frank Zappa CD hidden behind the all bran and over the in-house speakers he hears a few bars of Bing Crosby. That which goes through his head at that point is what The Leonard Coen Brothers are all about.
