This is the Myspace for all the music done by Dan Berridge. I write and release my own stuff as well as writing for Film and TV. As far as I'm concerned all creativity comes from the source and has that same vital energy. Hopefully that's what you'll find here. x
NEWS AND STUFF (in loose chronological order);
The new Broadway Project album "One Divided Soul" is out on all digital outlets as of November 6th. Get it. It's ace!
I've just licensed one of my tracks "THe Wobble" to Orange for their Rockcorp ad campaign which will air from this friday 19th sept for two months. I believe they also want to make the track available for free download on their site. I'll let you know. I'll post the ad in a week or two. It's mental (in a good way).

"One Divided Soul" is coming!!!! The new Broadway Project album. Officially. It will be out in a few weeks for sure. It was nearly out and we decided perhaps we should let a few people know first :-/ Always one for gargantuan levels of self promotion, I said why not. It's bloody great.... tracks up at last.
"In Finite" is now on iTunes all over the world. It's been received very well, which is heart warming. One of the tracks; "The Third Stream" has been licensed by Sky for their HD campaign. See Trailer below.
ODS Recordings exists! One has given birth to a brand new baby label. He's a little bit frail at the moment, but we are sure he's going to grow into a strapping specimen. www.myspace.com/odsrecordings.
"Leaving". I've just completed the score to a film featuring Jonny Harris (London to Brighton) and Kierston Wareing for Omni Productions. It's a very powerful drama about a domestic abuse situation. IMO its handled in a very beautiful way, powerful, but not deliberately shocking. See the trailer below. It will be broadcast on ITV in December.
An ad I scored for Max Factor last year has been re-licensed for another year. As you can see below, it's a detailed commentary of the purpose of life and the nature of existence. Is it bollocks.
Identity of the Soul. I have been working with Paul Noble and Thomas Hoegh on the score to a big film/multimedia project called I.D. It features Vanessa Redgrave, the late, great Mahmoud Darwish and 5 massive cinema sized screens and will tour the world over the next couple of years, starting Autumn 2008 all through the West Bank. I am told it will arrive in the UK next summer. I am infinitely proud to have been part of this project. Anyone interested in or had been into my back catalogue should check out the link to the trailer below.

I've just licensed a new track for a Guinness ad called "Bar Room Brawl" (not a popular title). See ad below.
Better Things (a film I scored, directed by Duane Hopkins) has been nominated for Cannes as one of only 4 British films, and deservedly so. You should see it when it gets to cinemas this autumn/Winter. Due out November I think.
"Here is Always Somewhere Else" (American Scenes...still not out yet...come on Rene ;-).. should be out properly in the US sometime in 2008....US only, I'm afraid). Trailer below.
DAN BERRIDGE/BROADWAY PROJECT WORKS;
ABOUT;
"Broadway Project was formed in 2000 in Bristol, UK. Signed to originally to Memphis Industries (London) and then to Grand Central Records (Manchester), the music was a reaction to the perceived blandness and lack of sincerity in most sampled music at that time.It became much more and snowballed into an effort to capture something epic and emotionally nourishing into the cut and paste hip-hop sampling ethos.But it's not Hip-Hop, it's not Electronica, not Rock, not Dance, not Jazz, not Classical. It sits somewhere between. A happy outcast. And a timeless one at that."
You can buy all of my music on iTunes.
Peace.
