Dragonfly Red consists of Robbie Rhodes, with his creative riffs, soulful style, and his soothing vocals makes Robbie stand out as a guitar player and a performer... Then there’s the heavy vocals of Tony McQueary…If Robbie is the Ying then Tony is the Yang….Tony shares the vocals with Robbie and brings his own heavy style and riffs. His Influences are Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Metallica, (you get the hint)...If this doesn’t grab your attention then get yourself checked. The two other Dragonfly Red members are Steve Noble which plays a left handed Bass and brings his own creative, glam rock, blues mixture, combined with his energy and his killer tongue that’ll have women on there knees…Then there’s Glover Washington on the Drums…His unique Flamboyant style makes Dragonfly Red fun to watch…He’s a master time keeper with lots of leg power, body movement and the ability to put serious weight behind each hit and yet, keep the beat like a drum machine. His Influences include, Living Colour, Dennis Chambers, Buddy Rich, Vinnie Coliuata, Dave Weckl, and Virgil Donati. Glover comes from a major jazz background and it comes through like a cannon when you hear and see him play. Glover’s awesome drumming skills is the final piece, that last part that makes Dragonfly Red, a major force to soon take their place among other rock greats.
Dragonfly Red has been together for the past 5 yrs and it’s been a rough 5 yrs from name and drummer changes, to artistic differences, two previous individuals wanted to start a Cover Wedding Band. But Robbie, Tony, and Steve stuck to there guns and departed with the Drummer and there keyboardist…They decided to get back to there original rock roots, stay focus and write there own material…When they found there drummer that fit, it completed the band… This was the best thing that could happen to Dragonfly Red…From Caught up, to All of You and the heavy driving beat of Past Chance Gone. When you listen to these songs you’ll understand this is real music that’s been missed for a long time... These songs define Dragonfly Red and separates them from the rest of the music world... Not many bands have the talented level like the boys from Chicago...
