Myspace GeneratorsI am a 35 year old gay male - 5'8", blue eyes, brown hair. I built my own house in 1997 and I finished my degree from Indiana University in Biology and Mathematics in 2003. After working as a concrete finisher for a family-owned company for the past thirteen years, my career is currently following a new path. Driven by a passion for architectural history, I have always incorporated a love of photography into that area. In fact, I am now researching a book I hope to get published on the lost buildings of Indiana University-Bloomington. In addition, I have just recently moved to Oregon where I do research and enjoy exploring all the sites that are new to me with my best friend, Andrea. I travel a lot for research purposes, photography, and entertainment so I will be including details of many of my trips here on my blog. I have been in every state except Alaska, and have been in five foreign countries. I was a jazz, blues, and rock drummer for 10 years and played Classical piano for 13 years. I enjoy people. I like learning from them and sharing times with them and having them do the same with me. I am guided by passion and I try to follow my heart. I am the first to admit I am not perfect (and laugh at myself), but I enjoy input from others to help me grow to be the best person I can be. All my life, I have been the kind of person who either does something in a big way, or not at all. When I am happy, I am HAPPY. When I am sad, I am SAD. When I am angry, I am ANGRY. When I love, I LOVE. It comes from the fact that I am fueled by a true passion for life. I could be viewed to be a tad eccentric but in fact, like everyone else, I am only in a pursuit of the things that mean ultimate happiness. Along this road through life, I have a belief that we must appreciate the little things and see beauty in them. Maybe true happiness is unachievable, but at least the journey will be enjoyable. I consider myself a spiritual person, but not a religious person. I believe strongly in life-long learning. Hence, I am an avid reader and personal researcher. My interests include a wide variety of things - reading, learning, collecting old/historical/rare books, collecting the music of R&B/DooWop vocal groups from the origins of the 1930's and 40's up through the 1970's, among many other things. As far as friends go, I demand loyalty and honesty as well as a kind and understanding heart. However, the best way to my heart is, with confidence but not ego; with loyalty and honesty; by being 100% yourself; by treating me the way you want me to treat you. I don't like those who intentionally live by gay stereotypes. I also don't like those who try to avoid them at all costs. Like I said, be yourself, because I am definitely going to be myself - I gave up apologizing for myself the day I admitted and became ok with the fact that I am gay.
