I'm a Cardio/Thoracic RN by profession, and visual artist. I enjoy painting, my media is primarily oils on canvas/linen. Creating anything whether it be one's portrait, writing or making art - any form of art, lifts me when I'm down by instilling an abundance of inner peace and tranquility within. Before attending the University of Alabama, I earned a degree in Commercial Art and Advertising. Although, in order for me to excel in it to my fullest capacity, that ultimately came down to having up and move to a larger city such as New York, Chicago, LA, etc. Where in that arena is plentiful and challenging. But, when it came down to doing that, I found that I was more attached to my "stomping grounds" than I had once visioned. I just wasn't willing to leave my family and friends behind. They're two of the greatest blessings only the Lord could ever contrive. Currently, I am working on a novel and trying to setup a time and place for my next art opening/showing. I have several pet peeves in life, but the ones that take front seat are lying, stealing and making oneself out to be someone that they're not. I'm an honest, sincere, fun loving person. Though I'm not one to go where "no man's ever gone before;" I'm adventurous nonetheless. But, I prefer not to go at it alone! I was once depicted by others as being the "Class Clown" in earlier years, though when I entered the "real world" I learned real quick that I wasn't quiet as funny and cute as many had once made me out to be. I had to work twice as hard to accomplish whatever endevours I might have been taking on. Though perseverance was never something I lacked or fell short in.
As mentioned, "friendship" in whatever form or capacity is extremely important to me. I try to treat those in a way that I would like to be treated and looked upon. Though I'm far from perfect. Like most, I have many faults, but I do try to learn from them more than I try to cover them up. I think that contributed immensly in making me the man who I am today...
