I am an author and illustrator of children's books. I have become known for my unique visual style both witty and macabre at once. I have started a new generation of bedtime stories with fresh new ideas that promote imagination and make reading fun for children of all ages.When I am not working on a book I have a passion for film, I study Shaolin Kung Fu under Elder Master Gary Mullins and I enjoy painting.A little about my books. My style is often compared in the media to Tim Burton, Edward Gorey and Dr. Seuss, which is flattering because they are or were fabulous artists.My second book in print, Boetry is a unique collection of poems and illustrations, both humorous and profound. Boetry introduces a girl who ate candy until her teeth fell out, a boy who's head was made of chocolate cake, a plant with eyes, and many other unusual characters. I have heard many times that fans of Shel Silverstein appreciate Boetry, though my poems may be a bit more, bizarre, or macabre.Coming Soon! I have my first chapter book nearly finished. Actually the book is completed and I am currently working on the illustrations. Also, I have two more picture books coming out this year. I will post more information on those when the publisher gives me the okay to do so.The Perry-Messer Foundation-I am the founder and a director of The Perry-Messer Foundation. What we do is purchase new books and donate them to children across the nation who simply need to escape from reality for a few minutes..
