Dear Loves of our Life,Here at Peddling Records, we recognize the value of many forms of media/medium for getting our message out to the world. Our message, simply put, is that anybody who lives in this country has the freedom to pursue those relics of life that may constitute happiness for themselves (without, you'd hope, discouraging or harming other people's version of pursuit of happiness).So we make clothes we can wear to symbolize the importance of choosing for one's self. We know everybody can make a little music, and so allow everybody an equitable opportunity to release their music on our tape-cassette label that does not leave a single aspect of consideration left up to a machine, stockholders, or attempts at public relations. Why? Because we believe every action, every attention, is representational of a) the kind of world you want, and b) the kind of world you are going to get.We print zines and other publications to inform and share on our beliefs and ideas, much like any organization does. We're not very good at hiding our disgust in humanity's lack of basic humanity, but then again, we're not very good at hiding what makes us beam, either.We support whole-heartedly the notions of independence, freedom, and responsibility. We support our freedom to express our beliefs by expressing them in as many ways as we are able at one time. We hope that you, too, support your freedoms, and live your life in accordance with your own version of a truth that isn't too compromising.Enhancing the good, we think, is more positive than underlying the bad. By thoroughly living out the independences given to us, we hope to help more people fully live out their independences. We do not want to be blatent, but hope our creativity can long be fuled admist a bureaucracy that imposes one set of rules, and our minds and hearts which live by quite another.

The first rule of TAPE CLUB is... YOU MAKE TAPES! The second rule of TAPE CLUB...is YOU MAKE TAPES!! If it's your first time at TAPE CLUB... YOU MUST MAKE A TAPE!!!Peddling records is a community record label in which anyone (yes this means you...) can produce and release your music for all to hear. The key word is YOU. You make the music... you make the tape/cd. You design the artwork. Remember that copywriting and issues with royalties (as in recording another persons song) are completely your issues. We would like to keep this thing grassroots (loosely translated- lawyer free) So go...Go make great music... record it... then let everyone hear it. Don't forget the first rule of tape club!
