Orikal is a Puerto Rican musician from the West Side of St. Paul, Minnesota. With a wide range of musical influences, Orikal writes and produces most of his own work, including 2 self produced albums. Orikal has shared the stage with the likes of Brother Ali, Golden, Toki Wright, Bill Mike Band, Big Quarters, Carnage, Illuminous 3, Out of Bounds, and lots of other local musicians.
Besides working on his own music, Orikal is an active collaborator in many projects. Orikal is also hype man for St. Paul hip hop group BURNING CITY SKYLINE's live shows, as well as one half of reggaeton rap salsa group NAPALM FERNANDEZ along with Jayechs.
Orikal is also the founder of his own company, Graff Roots Media, acting as marketing director, publicist, producer, song writer, engineer, publisher, designer, photographer and everything else that goes into doing it yourself. He is currently attending McNally Smith College of Music as a major in Music Business.
Orikal's discography includes four official releases (Unquestionable, 2004 / Visions of Elevation, 2005 / The Harsh Reality, 2007 / Now What?!, 2008) 3 mix-tapes (Playground Crew presents: Press Play Volume One & Two - 2005&2006, Hello! My Name Is...Vol 1, 2008) a release overseas in New Zealand (LewsTherin - Cursive Thoughts - 2005),a compilation CD entitled "The Mixed Up Tape Vol. 1," (2007) and a peace compilation entitled "ZeroElement: The Reclamation Project" (2008)
