About Me

The band started in the summer of 1985. Had gone insane by 1988 and by that we mean exile from society, pathologised and sectioned. Band relaunched in 1995 and has done four albums since - PSYCHIATRIC UNDERGROUND (1998), STRAIGHT OUTTA RAMPTON (2001), SHERGAR IS HOME SAFE AND WELL (2004) and the latest one AL AL WHO. All these available on Pumf Records. Many other releases on tiny labels worldwide. Constantly shifting band line-up. That list was quite boring wasn't it? Well, this is a promotional page for our new AL AL WHO album which took over three years of continual tortured work to complete. There are 21 tracks and 65 minutes and we estimate it will be released this summer as a Pumf CD - also a 12 track vinyl version on Harbinger Sound is supposedly due sometime. Lyrical inspirations for the record have included videos at infovlad.net, the comments section on Richard Tomlinson's blog and everyday alcoholic mentally ill life in Blackpool. Musically this is probably our most polished and normal-sounding album yet although it's hardly 'commercial' or likely to set the charts alight.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: pumf.net
Band Members: Constant shifting - members on these songs include S Harris, pStan Batcow, RooH, Kate Fear, The Raspberry, Ging Shi-ite, Lorenzo St Dubois, John Tree. "This Is Spinal Tap" is a work of horrific social realism.
Influences: NW England, utopian/revolutionary art currents, schizophrenic psychoses, nihilistic/criminal subcultures, lots of other things, "ah who cares about the music".
Sounds Like: Not sure. "Don't care" may actually be a better answer. Were you on the Powergen Course?
Record Label: Pumf Records
Type of Label: Indie
