What a night!!........Were you there.......?
The bar ran dry but the club just about stayed open for the legendary Dandelion Adventure to headline a wild night of razor edged guitar noise the only way they knew how. A strong line up of The Keatons came up from London mixing it with a bit of performance art. Sheffield's Kilgore Trout played a rare gig with a drum machine and The General Havoc blagged their way onto the stage before they reincarnated and made it big under a different name! How the hell they managed that great leap forward from this performance........ I guess they were just ahead of their time!!
From what I remember it was a typically mad gig. The club management were trying to close the place and throw us out as Dandelion were coming on stage. Fat Mark trashed a drum kit at the opening of the set and Smart Alec the sound PA guy, who was late in turning up in the first place, scurried about amongst the band trying in vain to keep everyone plugged in!
All the mayhem was rather badly captured on video - the tape has survived the test of time and finally we can relive that night again!
