Seit November 2007 sind wir mit der Singer/Songwriter-Veranstaltung "Songs auf dem Boot" regelmäßig zu Gast im Deckshaus (Fischerinsel).

neue CD "Gegenlicht"
Das mittlerweile vierte Album von Claudia Nentwich wartet mit dreizehn melodiösen Songs auf, die Biss und Seele haben. Auf "Gegenlicht" hat sie zum ersten Mal viele Songs selbst auf der Gitarre eingespielt und damit endgültig die Wandlung von der textenden Rocksängerin zur Singer/Songwriterin vollzogen. Stilistisch ist das Album breit gefächert, ein frecher Cross-Over aus Rock, Punk, Country und Pop, mit deutschen, englischen und französischen Texten, die vom nichtperfekten Leben, Psychotherapie, Indianern, Sehnsucht und Schönheit handeln. Poetischer Rock mit einer eindringlichen Stimme, die viele Schattierungen aufweist, und von Christian Wallerts Sologitarre immer den passenden Rahmen bekommt.
The fourth album of Claudia Nentwich consists of thirteen songs that definitely have got an edge and soul at the same time. On "Gegenlicht" (back light) she accompanies herself on the guitar and so she has made the step from a singer who writes her own lyrics to a singer/songwriter. Stylistically it is a fresh cross-over of rock, punk, country and pop with lyrics in German, English and French that deal with the imperfect life, psychotherapy, yearning and beauty. Poetic rock with a cool and haunting voice that has many shades and is always perfectly framed by Christian Wallerts solo guitar.

BIO
Im zarten Alter von drei Jahren begann mein Großvater, der aus einer Familie böhmischer Volksmusiker stammt, mit mir zu singen und legte damit den Grundstein für eine lebenslange Leidenschaft. Meine ersten Auftritte hatte ich mit Achtzehn als Sängerin der Punkband "Sagrotan" in Augsburg. Mit Zweiundzwanzig ging ich für mehrere Jahre nach Barcelona, landete dort in einer international besetzten Singer/Songwriter Community -- und erlag der Faszination des Songschreibens. In den 90ern zog es mich nach Berlin, ich gründete die Band "Crazy Mama" und fasste mit der sechsköpfigen Formation Fuß in der Berliner Clubszene. Es folgte ein zweijähriges Engagement als Choristin in der Schweizer Musicalproduktion "Space Dream" und der Einstieg in den Musikjournalismus beim Online-Musikportal Meome.
1999 habe ich das Songwritingforum Berlin ins Leben gerufen und begonnen als Songwriting- und Gesangscoach zu arbeiten. Seit 2004 regelmäßige Auftritte mit meinem Soloprogramm. 2007 ist mein erstes Buch "Liederfänger -- Wege zum Songwriter" erschienen.
At the age of three my Bohemian grandfather started to sing with me and thus laid the ground for a lifelong passion. In 1986 I made my first steps on stage as a singer in Punk and New Wave Bands. After having finished my studies I decided to live in Spain. In Barcelona I had my first contact with singer/songwriters from all over the world and I am fascinated by this music style ever since. In the late 80s I came to Berlin which for me still is the most interesting town in Germany. Earning money in a multitude of day jobs I worked on a set of original songs and looked for musicians to realize them. In 1994 I started playing clubs with the rock band Crazy Mama for several years. The band doesnt exist anymore but the cooperation with the guitar player, Christian Wallert, still exists until today. From 1996-1998 I sang in the choir of the musical „Space Dream“, a Swiss production. Being a part of this huge cast together with singers, dancers and actors was an incredible experience, but also helped me to see what I dont want – to be part of the show entertainment industry. In 2000 I started to work as a singing and songwriting coach and an online journalist for classic rock issues. In 2007 I have published my first book "Liederfänger - Wege zum Songwriter" in which I interviewed singer/songwriters about their musical development.
