An arts/music/travel/nature & animal-loving person. Passionate about social justice/human rights. A voracious appetite for learning (and sweets :-). Quirky/wickedly dark sense of humour (watch this video to see why!):

DAVID BOWIE & RICKY GERVAIS IN EXTRAS
..

Fave Quotes from David Brent, "The Office" (UK):

"Eagles may soar high, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines."

"There's no 'I' in 'team'. But then there's no 'I' in 'useless smug colleague', either. And there's four in platitude-quoting idiot'. Go figure."

"If your boss is getting you down, look at him through the prongs of a fork and imagine him in jail."

My Interests

Currently, my main interest is the lovely tiny cabana resort in Cuba which I visited back in February: "Villa Don Lino" - click on photo below to see more (note, I didn't take these photos!) :-)

Beyond that, sooo many interests: Hiking, canoeing, swimming - love the ocean and lakes. Animal and bird-watching. Any kind of cat (my kitties, especially of course!). Manatees! Giant Fruit Bats! Sea Turtles and reptiles in general. Dragonflies and damselflies. Desserts (especially Gelato: Nocciola and Baccio). Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. World travel and other cultures, sociology, psychology, human rights / social justice. I've read tarot for years. Teaching girls and young women (as well as some not so young, ahem) body/self/size acceptance. And I'm proud of the streaks of silver that now grace my still-long hair - I've earned every one :-)

I'd like to meet:

MET HIM ALREADY: My beau is 6'5" and carries a BIG BANJO!

Joined to meet my sistah: "Queen P", who joined then talked me into it too (she needed a "Myspace friend" - What is family for, right?). I've also amassed an eclectic array of fascinating friends, so do look beyond my "top 40"!
