For nearly a decade, DJ Hart has been rocking numerous clubs and underground events across the Southwestern U.S. and into Mexico. Hart’s sound incorporates a variety of House, Techno, and Breakbeats. Hart says the best way to describe his style is by taking the "tech house" sound of Carl Cox, the "dirty rolling bass lines" of Meat Katie, the "electro" sound of Nino Anthony, the "deeper soulful" side of Marques Wyatt, the "funky breakbeat" sound of DJ Icey, and then fuse it all together. Hart does not limit his sound to one style because he feels it's all about taking people on a ride." As a DJ, I have an opportunity to manipulate the music I enjoy in ways that evoke emotion; to make people let go and dance. I love feeding off of the crowd.â€
One of the few local DJs with a sizeable following, Hart is perhaps best known for his residency of several years at Tucson’s former haven for electronic music, Heart Five. Whether it was fate or mere coincidence, the duet of DJ Hart and Heart Five provided one of the only outlets for quality, consistent dance music in the emerging city of Tucson; a city whose nightlife is dominated by Top 40 radio. Hart has opened for some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude, Simply Jeff, Dave Aude, and DJ Micro. Recent gigs at Arizona hotspots, including e4 (Scottsdale), Level Lounge and Pearl (Tucson), have exposed the dirty, sexy house music of DJ Hart to even more loyal fans. Hart is sure to continue his quest to share his sound with Tucson, Arizona and the rest of the nation. The best is yet to come!
