If you've ever met 26 year old Debra Watts AKA 'Class of London', you’d undoubtedly agree that she is a passionate enthusiast about music and all that goes with it!!
Debra's passion for music was first realised at the tender age of 3 when she would mimic Michael Jackson and Diana Ross on the TV. Her confident energetic performances in front of her family quickly earned her the place of house-hold entertainer.
By age 9 Debra, had written her first song on the back of one of her mother's record lables and performed it to her family much to their entertainment.
At age 16 Debra joined a girl band which enjoyed the success of radio airplay. Despite being lead singer, Debra quickly realised that she had a strong sense of individualism and creativity and so decided to go solo.
Debra Watts considers listening to her music reading her mind and so prides herself on her song writing skills.
" What I write is so important to me because its often a reality of my life or my friends/family lives. I try to have a message or point to each of my songs because I know how powerfully influential songs can be in peoples lives. I don’t believe in writing music for the sake of it, it's got to be something I would want to run out and buy and one of the things I always say is if I wont rush out and buy it why should anyone else. I Love listening to so many different types of music from all different genres from rock, hip-hop to jazz. I don’t believe in categories when it comes to what I write because I’m so diverse, I really try and stay away from the whole what category would you put yourself in question I wont be put in a box".
This is a very exciting time for Debra with the release of her single 'Real Strong' in 2007 and Miss Watts is really looking forward to becoming a household name.
