About Me
Preorder Mixtape | Provided by Nasteeproductionz.net
Tired of so called "gangsta" rappers clogging the market with cliché lyrics and weak flows? Columbo has set himself on a mission to elevate the game to a new level with fresh concepts and hard beats. In the fast paced business world of music, every record label needs a secret weapon, and Columbo is Nastee Productionz ace in the hole. The lyrical skills, intricate flow, infectious word play, all of those elements will be what ultimately define him as the hottest upcoming MC, but before Columbo the rapper, there was a young man with an interesting story.
Very few MC's display the potential to become the most vivid and descriptive storytellers in the industry. Columbo was born 21 years ago in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Columbo has witnessed violence and poverty at a early age. Using these experiences in his rhymes, Columbo gives you insight into today's urban surroundings.
Columbo always had a inherent talent for writing since a early age. At 15, he began writing poetry that would later give way to bars upon bars of sick verses. Inspired with the direction of rap music in the early 90's, Columbo delved heavily into rap, listening to albums from Nas, Biggie, Mobb Deep, Jay-Z, Pac, Big L, Busta Rhymes, ect. All the time developing his own style.
Columbo has a intricate flow and a unique style that sets him apart from his competitors. Able to paint detailed hood stories with ease, he has been sought after many DJ's on the mixtape circuit. With influences ranging from Ghostface to Nas, Columbo has crafted his own method of making hit after hit records. In 2004, Columbo has made numerous appearances on Youngface and underground mix cd's, earning himself a strong following in the streets.
After the release of the successful Unsolved Sessionz series Columbo has begun work on his debut LP "Criminology".
