K-Black broken down into the simplest terms means King Black a.k.a. KBG (King Born God). King meaning to rule over a vast domain, and Black meaning a shade; not a color. K-Black was born 28 years ago as Keith Williams in Brooklyn, NY at St. Johns Hospital. He was raised by a single parent and had a younger brother, his father an already married man came to visit Keith twice a month. Living in Kingsboro Projects, an environment just like any other ghetto or maybe worse. At a early age K-Black told himself that he wanted to be a positive influence on his people, never wanting to sell drugs, shoot guns, or corrupt his fellow black man. But things never work out how like it's supposed to..
K-Black grew up in the 80's, and was exposed to criminal life at the height of the crack epidemic; fast cars, fast cash, and fast women. The gold chains, gold teeth, Gucci pouches, polo suits, Adidas's, bally's, and bmx dirt bikes. All the nice things that K-Black was attracted to, the "get money lifestyle". At 13 a local street hustler named Von approached K-Black to venture into the life of the drug game, but declined the offer due to his inexperience with the lifestyle that he admired so much.
At home K-Black witnessed the things that drugs can do to a home, by seeing his uncle Mack go through withdraw symptoms from being heroin addict. Even though he scared K-Black he also loved him as a son and K-Black loved him as a father because his uncle had taught him everything and after being arrested in 1983 for a double homicide, K-Black's uncle was sentenced to 20 years to life due to intravenous needles K-Black's uncle died in sing sing from the plague A.I.D.S. K-Black became lost without the direction of his uncle's wisdom. But soon things begin to change..and explored the world for himself.. The spark that triggered the bomb was R.A.W. by Big Daddy Kane, after hearing the vocals of the legendary Kane, K-Black was a hip-hop fanatic. Growing up listening to albums by Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Wu-Tang, Rakim, Nas, Biggie, ect. K-Black became a sponge, soaking up the knowledge that was put forth on wax, lyric for lyric, record for record.

Fast forward to 1995, that was an important year for King Black. With no curfew, pockets empty, he searched the streets doing nothing until a local gangsta Mas, discovered that K-Black could be the next piece to his puzzle. Mas saw potential in K-Black and gave him a chance to hustle his own product. Little by little, bag by bag, fiend by fiend, K-Black's name started to circulate in the hood as "that nigga". It was during this hustling period that K-Black's homie Streets influenced him to start rhyming, by spitting all day, every day in the hallway, while serving that product. K-Black took notice to this and asked his man Streets how he came up with his wordplay and rhyme skills, Streets simply replied "Put together words that rhyme, and make sense". After that K-Black wrote his first rhyme..
K-Black has a smooth, gangsta, and civilized point of view with his style. You can't label or categorize greatness, but if you had to, K-Black would be half Slick Rick, half Lil' Fame, and all truth. With interesting wordplay reminiscent of old school Wu-tang, K-Black brings something new to the game entirely.
Achieving success, bringing good wealth for himself and others around him has been K-Black's motive from day one. Blessed with 2 kings, named iquan and Zaire K-Black is out to provide the best things in life possible for his little soldiers.
After coming home in August 2003 from a 1 to 3 state bid for crack cocaine, a loaded 380 hand gun, and 2 bags of piff. K-Blizzy has been on his grind, appearing on numerous Columbo mix cd's, he has set himself in a position to dominate the mix tape circuit. K-Black has been in the lab making that verbal crack for niggas, his debut mix tape "Knowledge Knowledge" is due out in Late August/Early Sept 2007.
