Suburbia (from Trollhättan, Sweden) has been playing since 2001. Singer/guitarist Magnus Sorensen and drummer Peter Lark has been playing together since 1997 in serveral constelations. Later on bas-player Anders Persson and guitarist Ulrik Hedin joined and Suburbia was all set to go!
The bands music is a cross between pop/rock/punk and influensed by bands such as Butch Walker, SR-71, Jimmy Eat World, Lifehouse and Rick Springfield(!).
By the end of the summer of 2004, Suburbias first demo CD, "Theres Two Sides Of Everything", was recorded and released by the band themself.
The CD got very good reviews from several newspapers and won several awards on a bunch of internet competitions, such as www.garageband.com and so on....
2005 was a hectic year for the band. A bunch live shows and a 1st place knockout scored in a nearby Rockband competition. By winning the rockbandcompetition Suburbia got several offers to play live shows and festivals during the summer. Also the Suburbia song "Make Me Feel Alive" was one of the most highly requested songs on Radio P4 and got lots of airplay.
In february 2006, the bands second full-length CD "Songs For A Perfect Mixtape" was released. Great reviews from as well as big swedish newspaper "Göteborgs Posten" 4/5 stars) and american newspaper "Rockeyez" 4/5 stars). The same year Suburbia opened up for bands like Backyard Babies, Hellacopters and Millencollin at Göteborgs Kalaset, one of the biggest musicfestivals in Sweden. Followed by a gig at legendary rockclub "Sticky Fingers".
