About Me

At the age of 14, Genoveva got her first guitar, and from very early on, was writing original songs. She was drawn to the stage, and some of her first gigs included performances at her school, at a painter's vernissage and at a club in Bremen.
Soon, Genoveva joined her first band, a metal band named Headcleaner that blended melodic metal and hardcore. In a short period of time, they had built a loyal following in their region and played a few shows. All the same, at the end of 2003 Genoveva left the band to pursue her studies in Göttingen.
In April 2004, not long after her arrival in Göttingen, Genoveva met three musicians, who shortly thereafter came together to form the band Silverline. It seemed as though she had arrived at a personal crossroads; she decided to quit her studies and pursue her musical career.
In over three years of touring across Germany, Silverline's mixture of rock, pop, reggae, funk and punk (think the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blondie, No Doubt, or The Who) blazed an intense trail of energy and music, and naturally the band grew as experienced bandmates.
The stages, the kilometres, the experiences... each had a particularly profound effect on Genoveva. By this point in her life, the 'shy little girl' had morphed into a rousing lead singer who understood the power of her own voice... while the road had shaped her as a performer, the guidance from her classical singing teacher, in the two years that followed the formation of the band, helped to build a foundation for her vocal skills. Emboldened, she began to try new things with her voice, and realized that she could make her voice do as she wanted it to. Simultaneously, with so many live performances with Silverline under her belt, she became more self-assured than ever on stage and her own style emerged.
After numerous highlights with Silverline that included a 17-day tour at the beginning of 2006, nearly 100 shows over the last three years, two recordings with the band (a full-length release, 'Tumbling & Tossing' and the EP, 'Turning Point'), Genoveva decided to leave the band in early 2007, to kick off the next chapter of her musical adventure. Now solo and standing on her own two feet as a writer and performer, she has found time to work with other artists, such as 'Wildcat', an artist from Göttingen, in an electro/lounge outfit. Further musical collaborations, more writing and learning, demo recording and even some acting work have together taken centre stage at her current life.
