Bibiafrica offers music lovers a selection of African and African-influenced world music.
Enjoy the amazing voice of one of Africa's greatest singers, Sona Diabate, the fine guitar work of Guinean artist Lenke Conde, the rhythmic grooves of world renowned djembé-master Famoudou Konate, the kora artistry of Jeli Moussa Sissoko, and the hypnotic strings of Malian n'goni-player Barry Sangare. The World Music Project, Argile, can also be found here featuring the work of well-known Guinean singer Djanka Diabate, as well as other musicians from the USA, Germany, Ghana, Mali and Guinea and with "The Jenbe Realbook" also a complete transcription of the solos and dundun-accompaniment of the CD "The Art of Jenbe Drumming - The Mali Tradition Vol. 1" (see fotos with notation of Track "Fula").

bibiafrica ist eine Independent-Plattenfirma, deren Spektrum von in Afrika aufgenommener traditioneller Musik bis zu in Europa produzierter afrikanisch beeinflusster Worldmusic reicht.
Es finden sich sowohl seit langem in der Worldmusic-Szene etablierte Künstler, wie Ballaké Sissoko (Mali), Famadou Konate oder Sona Diabaté (Guinea), als auch neu zu entdeckende Musikprojekte, wie die Band "Jobarteh Kunda" des "weißen Griot" Tormenta Jobarteh oder die Gruppe "Orange Winds" (BRD / USA), die u.a. Kompositionen des Nigerianischen Komponisten, Ethnologen und Trommlers Dr. Meki Nzewi interpretieren. Ebenfalls bei bibiafrica erschienen ist das Buch "The Jenbe Realbook" das die komplette Transkription von Rainer Polak der Soli und Begleitstimmen der CD "The Art of Jenbe Drumming - The Mali Tradition Vol. 1" vorstellt (siehe Seite 1 des Jenbe Realbook unter Fotos mit der Notation des Tracks "Fula").
