Born in 1978, Rita Ribeiro aka Dj Rita X. Craft soon discovered her passion for music. Her first steps were given at the age of five, when she started to have violin lessons.
As time went by, music continued to follow her every move. A lot of hard work and dedication, allied to her music lover spirit, lead her to the final of Heineken Thirst Deejaying Contest in 2004- where she seized the occasion to reveal her expertise and prove her excellent taste in music. Winning 1st place gave her right projection at the right time.
A unique style and amazing technical skills gave Rita the opportunity to share the decks with famous deejays such as François Kervokian, Kasey Taylor, Leeroy Thornhill (from Prodigy), Tim Healy (Electric Tease), Tobias Becker (Kompakt), Chemical Brothers, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Funk D..Void, Thomas Schumacher, Dj Paulette to name a few. As well as many of the well known portuguese deejays such as Dj Vibe, Rui Vargas, LuÃs Leite and last but not least, Portugal new generation deejays and friends Bart Cruz and Heartbreakerz.
She has played in many different venues: Paradise Garage, Op Art, Alcântara Club, Queen..s, Trignometria, Sushi Electrónica, Club NL (Amesterdam), The Lodge (Dubai) among others. Behind the deeks she explores musical styles from minimal to techno.
Rita Ribeiro aka Dj Rita X. Craft nasceu em 1978. Deu os seus primeiros passos na música aos 5 anos com o violino.
O tempo foi passando mas a música continuou a ser a sua paixão. O primeiro lugar no concurso de Deejaying da Heineken Thirst 2004 deu-lhe a projecção certa no momento exacto.
Destacando-se pelo seu estilo único atrás dos pratos, teve a oportunidade de tocar com Dj..s nacionais e internacionais tais como Dj Vibe, Rui Vargas, LuÃs Leite, Bart Cruz, François Kervokian, Kasey Taylor, Leeroy Thornhill (Dj dos Prodigy), Tim Healy (Electric Tease), Tobias Becker (Kompakt), Chemical Brothers, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Funk D..Void, Thomas Schumacher, Dj Paulette entre muitos outros.
Já actuou em várias casas, como Paradise Garage, Op Art, Alcântara Club, Queen..s, Trignometria, Sushi Electrónica, Club NL (Amesterdão), The Lodge (Dubai) etc...
A sua actuação é um desempenho técnico com passagens desde o house, electro e techno associado ao seu bom gosto musical.
