ALiF started playing Drum'n'Bass in 2001, after having played other electronic music genres in the late 90's. He started off promoting events in Lisbon with his own promotion crew Junglize by this time. These events had huge success in 2001-2003 and were responsible for a big drum'n'bass boom in Lisbon averaging 1000 people on each event.
Both the events and ALiF's DJing caught the attention of other promoters from Lisbon and Porto which led to bookings all over the country. Since then Junglize stopped promoting but ALiF went on with his DJing and is now one of the top Portuguese DJ's having been nominated for the nacional 'Dance Club Magazine' Awards for best Drum'n'Bass DJ. He is a Kalimodjo resident and plays week in week out all across Portugal having performed alongside international artists such as Goldie, Roni Size, Bad Company, Ed Rush, Optical, Marky, J Majik, Fresh, Bailey, Black Sun Empire, Teebee, Noisia, Subfocus, Storm, Randall, Keaton, Total Science, Friction, Generation Dub, Clipz, Crossfire, Lemon D, Wildchild, Evol Intent, Dylan, Tech Itch, Limewax, Raiden, among others.In January 2007 ALiF started the Elektro Fighterz, a new project with DJ's Dresh and Tribolik focusing on playing and producing Electro of all sorts. After blowing up in summer 2007 playing in major portuguese festivals, they are now one of the big names in Portugal's Electro scene with bookings all around the country every weekend.
