ATTENTION : Pro Pagan Dada APPEAL / REQUEST
CALLING ALL NOISE MERCHANTS.
YOU have been invited to participate in the BACK FROM THE DEAD
Re-emergence of the D.I.Y. LABLE: Pro Pagan Dada .
A call is being made over the next few weeks for groups/individual musicians to submit a piece of sound /noise/unusual/new music to appear on a compilation disc of world music.
The release will be on high quality audio Cdr (not regular computer disc) in strictly limited edition of 50 or less, with artwork post cards stickers, and handmade material sleeves. All those participating will receive a free copy (copies) of each disc they appear on. This is a non-profit making venTURE. And as long as I can recoup my initial outlay and interest continues further releases will continue. In the spirit of 70’s DIY, opposed to the faceless giant.
Each piece submitted should be aprox 4:00 minutes long; this allows a reasonable number of tracks on each disc. The idea has evolved into a regular ongoing series of releases.
(Originally the idea was to be one release with tracks of 30 seconds each, This will become a reality in the future, postponed too a later date) Music/sounds not available on myspace or not widely available, live stuff etc, will be considered.
There is already a great deal of interest from many notable artist, from around the world who’ve already submitted tracks, and who will appear on the first released disc; (end of June)..
