Inspired by the rigorous system of physical, mental and moral training undergone by the ancient warriors of Sparta, Agoge Hardcore Fitness carries on the tradition of loyalty and honor earned through adversity. We train in groups and form bonds forged through mutual suffering. At all times we are supported and tortured by our peers, who lead by example and follow with unflinching determination. There is no place for excuses, half-assed effort or whining. You are judged not by your race, sex, culture or past, but by the strength of your character and your will. Our training regimens are continually evolving, structured around the relative strength and endurance of the individual, built to expose weaknesses and constantly challenge the mind and body as they progress. Under these circumstances the individual is pushed past their preconceived limits. In that pure moment of complete exhaustion, we perfect the will to rise when we have fallen, to draw on every last ounce of strength, to stand by our convictions at all cost and to NEVER GIVE UP!
At AGOGE your heart is your most important muscle. Although our focus is superior fitness, we never forget what Friedrich Nietzsche said, “I assess the power of a will by how much resistance, pain, torture it endures and knows how to turn to its advantage.â€
We develop training regimens which test that will, always evolving, never easy. Our training has been shaped by the methods of our contemporaries and those who have come before. We draw inspiration from the warriors of ancient Sparta, the Gladiators of Rome, the Samurai of Feudal Japan, the order of Shaolin Monks, Olympic powerlifting, MMA, yoga, Kettlebell training, GYM JONES , Strongman Competition, Crossfit, endurance athletes, outdoor adventure sports and the training regimens of elite military units (US Navy Seals, Spetsnaz, etc.)
