About Me

I started playing when I was ten.I took a lesson at the age of 12 and got totally turned off when the instructor told me that I wasnt supposed to hold my stick that way or play as hard as I do,oh yeah how can i forget... started teaching me lameass beats!FUKK SAMBA!...told him to basically fuck off becouse It just wasnt me....what did it for me? watching Tommy Lee play on one of his videos...! I was just a kid back then and totally freaked me out!!!!To me it was what a drummer is all about...watchin him only confirmed to me that THEIR WAS other dudes who looked at drums the way I did.Eveythings in the bucket with that dude!Chops and look!As a young kid ive always been into poetry so wriiting my own tunes was just a natural thing for me also.At fifteen I did my first gig and was also barred from the place when the owner found out about my age at the end of the night and wouldnt pay me...(F*****ASSHOLE ! )Had to play my set and wait outside the bar while sitting on some dudes car bumper till one of the band members would call out that it was time to go back on.OH yeah, guess I should also mention that I threw a rock at the mother f******s bar window at the end of the night, anyhow Lets skip a few years...... At 17 I joined an original band called Rated R which later toured through out Canada and some parts of the U.S opening up for bands such as Helix,Lee Arron, and homeymoon suite. By 22 i decided to stick around homebase,Montreal.Touring 5 years straight on the road can screw you up...lose focus...I needed a break from it all,I guess you can say get focused once again. My writting came to a hault becouse I was grilled.. just burnt.I began playing with various cover bands....yeah go figure....from big ass halls back to venues and of course in order to pay the bills doing the downtown scene while writting, recording and performing for other acts and with my original band I had going at the same time.Summer of 98 I was approached by members of a band called Six Was Nine which was being managed and produced by Frank Marino/Mahogony Rush and jumped on the opportunity to work with players with the same taste, aspirations and dreams that I had. We named the band Happy Go Lucky, played the venues in Montreal that hired indie acts and came in the Chom L'esprit finals with our song ending up on the Chom L'Esprit compilation cd. Unfortunately we disbanded due to members moving out of town or should I say, the corporate ladder......YUK! We decided to go our own ways.Summer 2004 I was contacted by the organizer of the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal concerning Colin Hayes(Men At Work)that was coming to Montreal to play at the Metropolis and was lookin for a rock energetic style of drummer,it was offered to me so of course I went for it.Yup.!! we kicked royal ass that night!total mayhem!I was also given at that time an opportunity to play for Robert Smiegel ,(the dude that does Triumph the Insult dog on Conan O'Brien show) here in Montreal becouse their drummer had bailed last minute. That was a pretty cool gig I've gotta say,.....different? Oh Yeah! but very cool.So here I am now....writting my own songs and playing in a couple of cover bands aswell.Who knows what lies ahead of me in the future...only one person close to me knows the changes Ive been going through and hard road that lies ahead of me.Maybe one day all my efforts and sacrifices will have all payed off....maybe one day some folk will finally understand that when im underneath those lights...im on top of the world and all the yukky stuff in life magically disappears....I thank god for drums.
