... and another new song is born! Fire-up!!! :D

About Me

Here is (hopefully) a short bio:
I was born on July 2nd some many years ago now... :) I guess my love for music started out when I found myself playing whatever records we had in the house, pretty much all the time. For my Mom and Dad’s contributions – I specifically remember playing their Elvis, The Supremes, The Fifth Dimension, Eddy Arnold, Roy Orbison, Nat King Cole and John Denver records. My Sister’s contributions were Neil Diamond and The Beatles. I suppose the rest during this time were all pretty much my own discoveries such as Alice Cooper (School’s Out, Billion Dollar Babies, and Goes To Hell), Elton John (Greatest Hits), Linda Ronstadt (Greatest Hits), Emmylou Harris and of course The Rolling Stones!
Musically, I am self taught. I didn't start playing guitar until I was 17. I really only started playing when it became apparent that I should try to be a little more productive with both my time and with music (because playing and buying records just seemed to be about the only thing I really seemed to truly find joy in). So I consider myself a 'late starter' - but nonetheless - I have started!!!
After realizing at some point that I really wasn't going to be the 'great' guitar player I had been envisioning for myself, and thought that on occassion - I can actually carry a tune (though sometimes with a bucket), I decided that songwriting was really what I wanted most to pursue.
I like to think that 'a good song is a good song'. I like many different types of music, from many different types of artists. It is my belief that if you have a good song to start with - that regardless of the performance and sound quality of the recording - a good song will shine through (well, maybe it has to be a REALLY good song!).
With that said - here are a few of my demos here on my page. I am currently in the process of building my own home recording studio and hope to be producing not only more (and better) songs, but better recordings as well.
I've been doing open mics and gigs for just over a year now and really enjoy playing out whenever I can.
Thanks for reading and most of all - thanks for listening! :)
MySpace has been such a great place to find new music (just like mine), please check out some of my ‘Top Friends’ pages for their music as well… a nice variety of music from some very nice people… enjoy! :) Myspace Backgrounds

Influences: Wow... I have many musical influences. Not in any particular order, Neil Young, Neil Diamond (especially all the early stuff), Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, The Beatles (John and George are my fave’s), The Rolling Stones (because nobody sounds like Keith!), John Denver, Cat Stevens, The Guess Who, basically any Motown!, Heart, Emmylou Harris (one of my all time favorites!), Bruce Springsteen, Alice Cooper, Patty Smyth (love that voice!), Linda Ronstadt, Hank Williams Sr., Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Jackson Browne, Tom Petty and the Hearbreakers, Elvis, Kathleen Edwards (Kathleen is awesome!), Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, The Who, CCR, Steven Page, The Pretenders, Queen, Michelle Branch, James Taylor, Martina McBride, Aimee Mann, Sarah McLachlan, Eddy Arnold and Buster Keaton (that’s just who comes to mind right now...). So many awesome songwriters there! There’s also my brother Mike. Mike has been sticking with his music thru thick and thin (even when I lost touch with mine for several years - he’s never stopped playing). He’s a great Guitar player, Singer, Songwriter and all around wonderful person. Thanks Tig!
Sounds Like: Don't know that I really sound like anyone in particular... just myself.
