Newlyweds Dan and Peggy, who met several years ago, run Lucky Girl Trading Company.Peggy, a freelance editor and writer, started Lucky Girl Trading on eBay in 2001. At that time she used her store to clear out a large collection of books, and became known for her diverse collection of hard-to-find books and collectibles. Dan, an eBay member since 1998, also started an eBay store in 2001 selling rare antique games.
Daniel's family had been in the jewelry business since 1980, so it seemed natural for him to work his way through college selling jewelry for the family business. In 2001 he decided to clear his large game collection, and at the same time he bought some jewelry for his daughter to sell so she could learn a little about online business. Things went slowly since the store was run as a hobby. However, after becoming engaged to Peggy, the business took a new direction.
Peggy took over both stores and moved her remaining stock to Maximum Source. Jumping in with both feet, she reopened Lucky Girl Trading as a jewelry store and dramatically increased its inventory. After leaving her day job in publishing, she took over daily operations of the stores and uses the sites to supplement her freelance income.
Since then, Peggy has become well versed in online business. She injects her own personality into the business, resulting in the extremely high customer satisfaction that drives Lucky Girl Trading Company's incredible repeat business. We enjoy running this business, and strive to keep it as a high quality boutique. Peggy loves email so feel free to drop her a line anytime if you have any questions, ideas, or even a suggestion for a good book to read.
