About Me

If you want to know me, spend some time looking at & drawing in the feelings you receive from my works of art...welcome to my heart, pleased to meet yours.
I've learned that Life is Fill_in_the_blank. I may not be able to always choose certain situations or circumstances, but I do choose how I look at them. I can sit there living the "I'll be happy when" life that most human beings seem to be living, cry about what I don't have, fear the unknown thus never taking risks, lick my wounds when people have hurt me and never get over it, yada yada yada while all the wonderful things and people in my life go about unnoticed, collecting dust - OR - I can change how I feel in an instant by changing my perspective. Should I encounter an undesirable emotion - I acknowledge it, and allow it to pass. I then close my eyes, take a deep breath, find the truth that lives within me. I look for the lesson being taught to me. I find the beautiful, loving, magnificent being that is me. Now, I open my eyes...I choose to see the world through love, acceptance, forgiveness, compassion.
This is my life, and I choose to love it.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change - Wayne Dyers
Aside from my love for life & everything creative - If it's random, daring, fun, stupid-funny, slap stick, adventurous kind of stuff...Count me in!
One of my first childhood memories is when I sat staring in amazement while my mother colored in one of my coloring books. The colors she used were so beautiful, the strokes so magical. To me, she was the best artist in the world. This is where my inspiration to become an artist began.
I found a passion with designing websites. I learned how to design websites by creating a Latin American community that focused on inspiring others to follow their dreams, encouraging creativity and bringing people from different cultures together. Within a year of launching the website, it received over 6,000 visits daily and also received media attention. I dedicated myself to the website for five years, then decided it was time to move on to other endeavors. What started out as a hobby, became my career. I have moved on from the website to pursue a career in web design. I now design and develop websites professionally.
I always kept an open eye out for the powerful gift I have always felt I had but did not know how to unlock - until the day I found Rassouli ’s paintings at the Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City. These paintings called out to me in a way that I had never encountered. I was drawn to them not for the beautiful paintings that they were, but for the overwhelming feeling of love that I strongly felt when I looked at them. Shortly thereafter, I had an opportunity to meet Rassouli and take his painting from the heart teachings.
Since then, I have learned different ways to approach creating images and paintings. I have learned to remove my judgment, criticism and attachment to the end result. I have learned to add unconditional love and freedom to my works of art. I now find endless possibilities of inspiration and beauty on canvas.
The message of my work is: There is a light that is always with you regardless of undesirable circumstances that may occur. This light is love, understanding, creativity and inspiration. This beautiful light can work wonders in your life when you look for it with your heart.
Life is my canvas, I am the artist painting my ultimate masterpiece - the life that I have lived, now living and will live.

Let go of your worries
and be completely clear-hearted,
like the face of a mirror
that contains no images.
If you want a clear mirror,
behold yourself
and see the shameless truth,
which the mirror reflects.
If metal can be polished
to a mirror-like finish,
what polishing might the mirror
of the heart require?
Between the mirror and the heart
is this single difference:
the heart conceals secrets,
while the mirror does not.

This is my tiny fine feathered friend Monty. Don't let his small size (my thumb is about as big as his head) fool you. His teeny talons are sharp, his little beak fierce. He is my body guard and will attack at a moments notice.

Will it make my body move? Will it draw my brush to the canvas? Will my state of mind relate to the words? Will the instruments sing to my heart? Will it make me laugh uncontrollably? Will it touch my spirit? Will it bring back good memories? Will it make the corners of my lips reach for the sky? Will It do any one of these things? If so, let's hear it!
