born and raised in new westminister,victoria and vancouver, b.c.i have been a professional musician for close to 30 years.i've toured as a bassist/singer with bryan adams[1981],the headpins[1982-83]vox phantom[1984-86],b.t.o.[1987-88]as well as being a member of barney bentall and the legendary hearts[1992-present]and the roswells[1994-2004]sharing lead vocal and song writing dutys.i've worked and played with so many talented writers and musicians over the years including agent,colin wiebe,sensible shoes,violet,billy cowsill,geoff gibbons,dawn langstroth,randy bachman and lee aaron among others.the rest of the time i've played in a number of cover bands making a living singing and playing,i'm happy to say,songs i love.i've been writing music & words since my late teens,enjoying many great collaborations along the way including a few top ten canadian hits.sometimes frustrating,always rewarding,i love the process of creating,arranging and producing songs.over the years there's been many times i've started doing a solo album but another situation would arise that i became a part of so it would be shelved.well i'm happy to say i'm finally busy working on my first album.i hope to have it finished by this summer,in the meantime i'm putting up some ruff mixes of various tracks,all in different stages of completion.some tunes will probably stay fairly accoustic while others might get a bit more production.i want to thank my friend faron andrei for lending his hand in writing or helping me to finish some of the songs.his incouragement has been invaluable.i'm still workingon new stuff so who knows what will end up the record.thanks for your interest,dave.
