About Me

Formed in the Winter of 2003, Orphans play melancholy pop and angst ridden rock for the Maudlin masses and are the brain child of singer songwriter, Sean Harrison.Sean and his trusted friend and ally, The Tron, are currently working on the bands first, self-financed, album entitled Random Acts of Kindness which should be available very soon.

Band Members: Sean Harrison : Singer songwriter Sean has been writing Orphans material for several years but it wasn't until he met The Tron that his music began seeing the light of day. Compared to music by Pearl Jam, Razor Light and Blind Melon, Sean is very proud of his achievements to date but is always striving for the next great song. Nothing if prolific, Orphans have over 40 songs to choose from for their up coming debut album, Random Acts of Kindness.Ant "The Tron" Evans: An awesome guitarist and an awesome guy. Everyone loves the Tron. A truly talented musician The Tron is the true voice of Orphans, giving the music a unique sound. His guitar work is astonishingly good and cannot fail to capture audiences. His contribution to Orphans is nothing if not sensational and should be his ticket to guitar legend stardom.
Influences: Orphans have numerous influences! It's safe to say that Sean's biggest influence is Richard Ashcroft. Whether this is reflected in Orphans music is for you to decide! As a band Sean & The Tron love the music of;Radiohead, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Verve, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Led Zepplin, Crowded House, The Beatles, KT Tunstall... The list goes on!
Sounds Like: At some recent live performances, members of the audience have commented on new material by Orphans as sounding like Pearl Jam (another big influence)In reviews they've been compared to Razorlight, Blind Lemon and REM.Why not let us know what you think?
