LADY RAIN

Unfaltering Swiss Watch Beats

About Me

Are an unbreakable group of friends, united by a passion for creating outrageously contagious music.
Songs that stir the soul, caress with melody and spit venom in equal measure. Tunes that leave you exhausted but longing for more.
Live performances that recapture the exhilaration of the moment the song was written; an interactive outpouring of creations always destined to be shared.
No longer content with only indulging the real music aficionados of hometown Birmingham, Lady Rain want the rest of the world to have some!

Influences: All good music, as ever. We could listen one million influences but it wouldn't help to clear in your mind what we sound like, so why not give us a listen ?
Sounds Like: "They’ve got some strong material crafted out of a sound that’s a tidy mix of rock, indie and simple, atmospheric electro. The band are clearly trying to push some boundaries musically and mostly this pays off; it’s complex, interesting music with some great beats, subtle but effective keys, all brought together well by front man Cedric’s strong vocal – a distinctive mix of melody and shouty chants. Rather than blending in with the many electro-indie acts that seem to be so popular these days, the band has a much heavier edge and the use of electronica never seems forced or tacked on, distinguishing the band as innovators rather than bandwagon-jumpers".....

Stephen Hudyba- Surface Unsigned Festival

"They’ve got a great sound that carefully blends Indie, Rock and Electronica for a unique and exciting direction which is both accessible and shows some real innovation. Excellent material with strong lyrics, sharp guitar work, tidy beats and atmospheric keys – it’s a compelling and urgent noise performed by some genuinely talented musicians that should, by all rights, take them far in the Festival and beyond".....

Stephen Hudyba- Surface Unsigned Festival

"There’s not much sunshine in Lady Rain’s world. The pavements are showered with shards of guitar, overcast vocals and melancholy from the South East, gusting up to 30 miles per hour. But as singles go, you won’t find a more majestic drama of a tune than “Walking On Your Own” any time soon".....

Overplay

"The indie boys from Birmingham are back and this time they are better than ever. The infectious beats that worked so well for them are also back and are mixing themselves well with the Editors-esque sound weaving its way throughout the track. The lyrics are insanely catchy and had me singing along just three seconds into the track; I can imagine the crowd chants already".....
