We did not missed a thing.Dancing cha-cha and tango in Basketball court or watching some movie in basketball court or when theres something interesting every band goes around the street and its really fun.It's a small place we live but i can say we did enjoy our childhood too.ANA FALEO-BERLIN GERMANY In Olongapo not really the woman Americans are looking for we have really great singers and Musicians who can imitate the famous bands and singers you can hear all of them playing at the sametime rock,hard rock you named it,they have everything. They are really perfect blending all the music together i don't know any place who with a lot of bands play the way they do it.It's really Amazing.That's why Americans are so crazy about it.No one will moved to thier chair for the bands will really attract you to stay.Arnel Pineda we are proud of you. OLONGAPO CITY PARADE 2006(PINOY IKAW,PINOY TAYO_I LOVE THIS SONGS TO WAKE-UP MORE PILIPINO TO BE PROUD OF THEMSELF AND THIER COUNTRY)EVERY PLACE HAD ITS OWN BEAUTY IN NATURE.PHILIPPINES, IS A BEAUTIFUL ISLAND THAT WE NEED TO BE PROUD OF. I still can say Olongapo is one of the best place in Philippines one reason American's choose that place because of its beauty,the Hospitality of the people and also being poor but i see many people there had a golden heart helping each other,and i see theres no rich or poor,everyone almost have adopted childrens or someone they took care,my mom did adapt some child and also invalid woman, just to be ready to helped someone,so i am proud of them.Dick Gordon is right in the future he can see much better than we see now.(OLONGAPO CITY,PARADE 2006,you can also see the red cross parade with my mom many years ago pity no one had the video of those times,i remember when i was young we also joined in the parade or dance in Rizal park or triangle plazza that you can see here too,they are really active and some of my relatives sometimes joined in beauty contest too in our place when they were young).OLONGAPO IS NOT A SINNED CITY,( HEART OF THE PHILIPPINES) but a place where everybody look to have a better life in the future and future of thier childrens.To go out from POVERTY and SLAVERY and make thier dreams comes true.And face the reality.Many years ago Pilipina could not go back to thier family once they sleep with a man without marrying, or sometimes they were kidnap and pushed to worked.Olongapo is no strickt boundary people come and go i growned up mostly of our neighbors also not originally from Olongapo.It's a big confusion for me when i was young for too much languages from different places that really shocked me.I think the real people from OLongapo is all in United States.Its the small place where the people can easily come and always welcome to others.Many American's helped them,more pilipina's getting married every month,even they met them once they marry them right away,or even they dont know them they asked names and send them fiancee visa.Others also asked helped to get thier daughter to go to US,just to have a better life(It's Amazing)I recieved a fiancee visa too,but i did not really know him so i did not accept.You dont know how many Pilipinos can go to School with thier helped.And if you can think until now they are still getting thier parent's and relatives to America.It's never ending chain that everyone needs to think.And other military still supporting other people there until now.I worked in Furniture store 1979 that bussiness really high,SHIP'S,PLANES,and SUBMARINES they're bringing the stuffs to AMERICA without limit so many handicrafts jobs for Pilipino's that we always run out of stock. This song remind me when i was young when my uncle sing it in english,that mostly all sailors know this songs.But i get scared when he says a woman in every port. My mother wait too long before she called Gordon i think the last thing she did think.How fast they did everything even my brother did not survive in operation for heavily damaged of accident i can still say "Thanks for him and to all american doctors on that time".WHEN I WAS YOUNG I REMEMBER TOO THAT WE RECIEVED A PIECE OF RED CHEESE, IN CHRISTMAS TIME.AND AT SCHOOL SOMETIMES WE GO HOME WITH A BAG OF MILK POWDER,FOR HIS MOM ALSO IS VERY ACTIVE WORKING IN RED CROSS,and clothes they give away too.IF YOU GO WITH HIM AND IN ANY PROBLEM HE WILL NOT IGNORE YOU HE WILL LISTEN TO YOU, FOR HIM THERES NO POOR OR RICH WHEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS HE WILL HELPED YOU THE BEST HE CAN.I KNOW MOSTLY PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES DEPENDS ON HIS ABILITY TOO.RICHARD GORDON KNOWS THAT HE NEEDS A COOPERATION OF GOOD PEOPLE TO TRUST FOR ALONE HE CANNOT ALSO DO IT SO HE WAS REALLY ATTACHED WITH AMERICAN FOR HELPING PEOPLE THEY DONT NEED TO THINK IT TWICE.And for all the Pilipino who knows him,support him. He knows he is not a perfect man but a man who can do his best for his country and his people,lots of Pilipino need to learned too like him in every situation.Its not easy to be a President you need also people around you will do the same like you do to helped your people and your country.The most important is a good team-up.He wants Pilipino learned how to worked hard,for the good of his country.For so many intelligent Pilipino's who had a wonderful talent too,and still a lot of way to helped those people learned,it's not the way we depend to American's but they are there when the time we need helped,and the Economy is also important in every nation, so for us its a bussiness,and a lot of worked for Pilipino people. And staying in our country is better to worked when they were there not like now everybody thinks of going abroad.I can also says for the security of our country too.Other don't know how hard for us to be away from home,its not the beauty of the place and a nice house, the beauty of the people is important and the happiness you can feel inside.Now i was here abroad and i can say Pilipino/a are everywhere around the Globe you named the place,thier there so not only American's are helping us in Philippines and i am also proud of them we are far away from our Family,even some of them are dying helping,but they did thier best too.But lots of us missed the people and our country. For theres no place like home.Oh,yes being poor we missed too.For theres a lot of happiness and freedom,and dreams comes true. Even how much they called it poverty or misery theres lot's of love in thier heart too.Everyone had thier wished comes true,when i was young our neighbor called his son GIlBERT and i turned around it seems like she is calling me then after that everytime i go home alone i sing the song "Oh my Papa"and whenever we had the fiesta in our place i love to put the records while thier dancing cha-cha and Tango. Not only because i've heard some of his music that my father played but something really attract me.Everytime i think sleeping or awake,and guessing some songs he did,its always on my head so when i was 18 i joined a pen-pal club to look for this Robert Gilbert.So many composer's on my head too that i don't know why for what reason i think of them or guessing how they looks like.I can also thanks for Mayor Gordon and American people who share this music to us for i did follow my dream in life and even i know how impossible is it.I also had one wished in life when i was young that SENATOR RICHARD GORDON ,BECOMES A PRESIDENT. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVES TO SEE THE BEST OF MY COUNTRY AND MY PEOPLE.I LIKE ONE PERSON WHO ALSO LOVES PILIPINOS ALL OVER THE PHILIPPINES RE-UNITE FOR THE GOOD OF HIS COUNTRY AND TO SEE THE BEAUTY OF HIS PLACE AND DO SOMETHING BETTER FOR IT.He can laugh,he can cry or he can get angry if something is not right he knows his job its a lot of patient to helped Pilipino people but he knows more of them goes abroad learned that also Philippines is a treasure island that every Pilipino need to think of.When my mom goes around Olongapo and make a campaign for Amelia Gordon,I am Proud of my mother for she and the People of Olongapo knows that we choose the BEST PEOPLE.WE VOTE THEM FOR OUR FUTURE AND THE FUTURE OF PILIPINO'S AND THE BEST FOR OUR COUNTRY.And lot's of PILIPINO'S ARE EAGER TO GO HOME AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIER DREAMS COMES TRUE TOO.So they can helped to the economy of the Philippines.For most of them had pensions and can live happily in our hometown.But i think Security first is important.That also they don't need to pushed downed the poor people who did not studied at all or don't have anything.I did worked one time with RED CROSS too going to dangerous place,i see not an easy job you need to have your heart and minds helping people.On that time theres a lot of NPA around so we need to escort 3 nurses,I haven't see places like that in my life,we did bring foods and medicines,lots of malnuourished and sick childrens almost no clean water to drink there.they dont normally like other people go and helped for people scared more that they act nice and steal thier land,we are kind of scared that time for we all not even sure if we go home alive,but i think THOSE NPA IS NOT REALLY BAD ONLY WANTS TO PROTECT THIER PEOPLE AND THIER LAND,FOR ITS THIER LIFE AND FUTURE OF THIER CHILDREN'S TOO(Like the song THIS LAND IS MINE,GOD GAVE THIS Land TO ME)WE RESPECT THEM.I did not continue i think its not for me the Military life,there nurses also talked about Family Planning,but i dont think they understand for theres no electricity,and no schools,so what you can expect,is more childrens every year . Luckily my mom sent me to Manila to the house of Dr. Tan.OLONGAPO FORMER US NAVAL BASE CUBI POINT 2007.PILIPINO PEOPLE LOVES THE EASY WAY OF LIFE WITH MUSIC,AND LAUGHTERS.THEY HAVE FUN EVERYDAY THERE WHILE WE ARE HERE SUFFERINGS.SO DON'T THINK THEY SIT DOWN AND CRY.Even how poor the people there,they will never asked people from abroad if not thier family or relatives.My Aunt told me before the American left they helped also to clean up Olongapo and mostly all the workers they give them money enough also others can fixed thier homes and they can immigrate to America with thier family.So my aunt stays in America and thanks for that 15 years service as a Saleslady in US Naval Base.And mostly all of my neighbors are there too.US Military and rent of the US BAse we know that the money is clean and military spend thier money with thier salary.AMERICAN MILITARY COMES AND GO TO PHILIPPINES WITHOUT TAKING ANY LAND FROM US.SHOWDOWN AT SUBIC BAY-PHILIPPINES . I admire him since when i was young,his family worked hard for Olongapo and helping people,everywhere in Philippines.You don't need to be popular to helped someone.Anyone even a simple person means a lot to anyone, as long as he had a good hearts in whatever he do. Still a lot of people need helped in Philippines.Dick Gordon is a simple person who is always there to helped Pilipino and protect them. I remember his father going to our house and tell everyone to wake-up for the flood is high, his around with the boat and lots of americans behind him too helping people in need,Some Americans died in helping too,they helped building our School and others so many US doctors volunteer to cure poor childrens,they are always worked together.His mom is very active.We are Lucky RICHARD GORDON,SHOWED-UP HIS LOVE AND CARE FOR THE PEOPLE, WE HAVE UNITY IN OLONGAPO,THAT MONEY CANNOT BUY THE FRIENDSHIP AND THE GOOD THINGS YOU DO TO OTHERS. HE can go in every part of the Philippines to helped if someone needs, its his way and his family was growned-up that way. He is a man with an honor and Pride to be a Pilipino and he stand for it.
