Jazz at the Tap New Jazz Jam!

About Me

STOP PRESS...... i am very sorry to relate that unfortunately the jazz jam at the Brewery Tap is not continuing after Dec 18th not because of the fantastic music or the excellent punters but due to the pub not quite making enough money to support us....we're extremely sorry not to be continuing but thank you for your support over the year and on my return from touring, i plan to set up a new jam in the area, so please keep in touch and let me know of any possible venues...and keep the jazz going....it's been sweet, it's been fun and it's been a great vibe....soon hopefully though to another space with an even better vibe...and maybe even a weekly or bi-weekly jam...pls spread the word and my apologies.... however in the meantime, pls go down to the Brewery Tap on 18th December for our final jam with Vita K hosting and singing....with her band....should be great, and it's a chance to have a good send off...i'll be thinkng of you from Munich.... dreaming of the next magical jam... Airlie xxx I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 mspmb src="http://lads.myspace.com/photoshow/slideshow.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale"Well we've been at the Tap since March now and it's growing-a new south london jam but already very popular with locals and jazzers alike at this friendly pub in the Village, the sound of horns, guitars, rhythm and vocals blasting into the summery air to a lively and enthusiastic crowd. We're hosted at the Brewery Tap by the aimable John and Heather Grover and the pub serves great food as well as some fine ales, wines and other beverages. The house band kick off at 8.30pm with a short set before asking players and singers to join in and strut their stuff. Come on down, and play/listen and spread the word! Swing, Latin, Bebop, Modern jazz, blues, funk with a straight ahead lean.
