I was 31 years old when i was diagnosed with colon cancer, i had my surgery and kemo .. then was in remition for roughfully 3 years. I went back to work at Oneida Hospital in ECF (extended care unit) for about 6 months part time, to find out that my cancer had come back again but in my lungs. i would have never found out if i hadnt fallen at work and hurt my shoulder they wanted to take x-rays and found a mass in my lung. needless to say ..out of work again, started kemo and then found out it went to my brain i then had a choice between the brain radiation or kemo for my lungs bc docs thought it was too much for both. i desided when the doctors told me i would have better luck with radiation then kemo that i would go for the brain and do what we could and take it day by day. we thought everythign was going well besides me being sick everyday from treatment, then i went into the hospital with pains in my sides but that was just pancritis attacks. i got out of there fine went back to my apartment in center street and things started getting worse. i got told i couldnt be alone anymore bc my brain was getting worse, i couldnt even do my own dishes or put away groserys because my hands went numb from treatment i had to ware gloves to get anything out of the frig or freezer bc it hurt my hands. needless to say ... the cancer was taking over and yet for the best part to come my next doctors apt i found out it spread to my liver. after that i was pretty much helpless and desided i didnt want my life lived this way so i basicly gave up the fight and let God take over. My life ended two weeks later January 17th,2007.the best part about me was my wife (Terry Douglas), and my children ( Steven,Shena,sammi jo, and nikesha. my 5 grandchildren i also loved with all of my heart and soul. i was not only there father but also there friend, and hero. i felt before i passed that i had achived the biggest and greatest goal of my life. i had my family.Music was also a big part of my life. I was an AMAZING singer and guitar player. i was in competitions and made many music vidios.I tought my daughter Nikesha how to sing and everything about it. sports layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
