About Me

Thinking about what to write here has given me a case of writer's block. I want to leave you feeling that you do know a bit about me, without making you feel overwhelmed by TMI...so until I compose something of my own about me, I will, instead, share the lyrics of the song that brought Allen and I together, and reflects the way I walk, the tune itself can be found in the 'nautilus' music playlist on this page:
All I see is not for me.
What I want you have not got.
Tried to use things you sold me, no matter what the cost
Tried to go the way you told me, but each time, I got lost
The stairs didn’t lead me anywhere!
I’m taking the fire escape up to the roof.
Don’t care if it’s not the way you find the truth.
Time to make this right: to rise above.
This room and all of you
Who say I should do like you would
Tried to live the life you sold me, no matter what the cost.
Tried to walk the way you told me, but each time I got lost
The stairs didn’t lead me anywhere!
I’m taking the fire escape up to the roof.
Don’t care if it’s not the way you find the truth
And when I get up that high, I don’t know what I’ll find
But I’d rather look at the sky than wonder why I let you take my time
Time to make this right: to rise above.
I’m taking the fire escape up to the roof.
Don’t care if it’s not the way you find the truth
And when I get up that high, I don’t know what I’ll find
But I’d rather look at the sky than wonder why I let you take my time.
Time to make this right: to rise above.

My Interests

The beach. Sunrises. Sunsets. The bits in between both events. Music - on the breeze, from a band, in my head...soundtrack for the movie known as Life, now playing on the Holographic Big Screen all around us. Sitting in the shade, with a cooling breeze bringing to me the scent of gardenias and the afternoon storms as they gather overhead; a good view of the Gulf from which to watch it unfold in all its splendor. Spending time with loved ones and friends, both two- and four-legged variety, including assorted dogs, cats, frogs, a pleco, and guppies galore. A few anole's have taken up semi-permanent residence on the lanai; watching them messing with the Spazz is always a source of amusement. Watching Allen crash flying goldfish into Cinderella's Castle with his PC Flight Simulator. And, of course, listening to Allen jam...on the odd occaision, joining him...listening to music, creating playlists to post and enjoy here...Music, period!

Holographic Theory, Quantum Healing, Quantum Physics,Particle Physics, Biology, Sacred Geometry, ART - no matter the medium - Expression as Communication. Alex Grey. Feeding my head with the good stuff...(see books)

My household's footprint is 510, which is half the average for a household of two...what's yours?

I'd like to meet:

Myself at 18...but it wouldn't have made too much of a difference anyway, because I had to take the path that I did to get to where I am right now...and I'd like to meet anyone who can relate to that...

...and I would LOVE to meet:

His art played a big part in shaping my ethics, my mindset, my worldview...he showed me that extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures, and that if we accept our mutant powers, whatever they may be, for what they are, and choose to use them - not for personal gain - but instead for the benefit of mankind, that we will then become the heroes in our own stories - unsung or glorified - in our own right...what an empowering thought...Thanks, Stan!

These are interesting times, hereNow, where freewill collides with manifest destiny, and the concept of what's real? is ever-changing...but this much I know to be true:

Music:

is to my Soul's existence as air is to breath...

If it's eclectic, unusual, off-beat, or just plain weird, there's a good chance that if I don't have it, my sweetie does...

Movies:

I am a movie buff; my tastes cover all genres - from comedies to cult classics, dramas to documentaries, silent to surreal...just like a book, a film can forever alter your view of the world...and, as there are so many films which have altered by worldview that it would be a project to compile a comprehensive list; so I decided to pare the list down to a few of those films that I never get tired of, on no particular order...

Joe Vs the Volcano. The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Monty Python's Meaning of Life. The Truman Show. Pi:Faith in Chaos. Ocean's Eleven. Let It Ride. Repo Man. Tank Girl. Four Rooms - anything by/with Tarantino. Hellboy. To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. Alice: Darkness Light Darkness. Silent Hill. Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Cry Baby - anything by/with John Waters. 1941. (2b cont.)

Books:

ARE FOOD FOR MY GARDEN...
My grandmother taught me how to read and write when I was three, and I took to it rather quickly...as a child, I believed that every book I read is a reality somewhere, and the more I learn, the more I Know that to be true...
I've read a minimum of three books a week since before entering kindergarten; so naming the authors and stories that have affected me throughout my life would take up more room, and time, than I have to spare on the project...so I am offering up my baker's dozen and then some of the books which I use to navigate the fluxuations of my flow within The Current (in no particular order of relative importance):
The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot
Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco
The Healing Power of Water by Masaru Emoto
Blue Light by Walter Mosley
The Energy Healing Experiments by Gary Schwartz
The Flower of Life, Vol. I and II by Drunvalo Melchizedek
Sacred Mirrors: The Visionary Art of Alex Grey by Alex Grey
Anatomy of the Spirit by Carolyn Myss
Angel Tech: A Modern Shamans Guide to Reality Selection by Antero Alli
Pronoia Is the Antidote for Paranoia: How All of Creation Is Conspiring To Shower You with Blessings by Rob Brezsny
The Spontaneous Healing of Belief by Gregg Braden
An Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
Apocalypse 2012 by Lawrence E. Joseph
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
Why is God Laughing? by Deepak Chopra

Heroes:

...can be found in my air, and help my garden grow...

“The youth, intoxicated with his admiration of a hero, fails to see, that it is only a projection of his own soul, which he admires”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
