As a designer, art is life... I can't look at a napkin at a restaurant without envisioning the print specs of the company logo... I fail to process most of the conversations taking place around me because I'm mentally "photoshopping" the scuffs on the wall... I stand for hours in the gift wrapping isle color matching bows, card envelopes, wrapping paper and gift bags when I prepare presents... Yes, as a designer, art and the manipulation of the real, is life...
My name is Kimberly and I am a Graphic Designer and Vocalist for the Christian music group, The Allens . I'm not gifted as an excellent conversationalist, but I love to write, think and ponder. I believe that you can learn the most about a person through observation.Achieving wisdom is my greatest aspiration in life. Knowledge is my best friend. My family and friends hate my driving, but I tell them it's because I'm artistic and like to think outside the lines. My pajama's never match and I used to always fall asleep with my glasses on until I got lasik eye surgery, that is. I've been to just about every state in the United States and I love traveling more than life itself. There is never an unpacked suitcase in my room due to the fact that I'm either coming in from or going out of town. My favorite colors are purple and green (not necessarily together) and I'm in love with men from the 19th Century. I own 25 pairs of stilettos and 3 pairs of Australian Uggs. I would rather spend $500.00 on a purse than own 500 purses. Salvador Dali expresses that, "There are some days when I think I'm going to die from an overdose of satisfaction." That's how I feel.
::MEMORY:: If any one faculty of our nature may be called more wonderful than the rest, I do think it is memory. There seems something more speakingly incomprehensible in the powers, the failures, the inequalities of memory, than in any other of our intelligences. The memory is sometimes so retentive, so serviceable, so obedient; at others, so bewildered and so weak; and at others again, so tyrannic, so beyond control! We are, to be sure, a miracle every way; but our powers of recollecting and of forgetting do seem peculiarly past finding out.
