Just this past Christmas Eve of 2006 I was reunited with my extended family in Northern Michigan. For 23 years we lost each other and now I've been given them back and it has blessed me beyond measure. I have my sister and her family, and my other Mom and Dad back in my life and I feel so complete. I love them so much and consider them as close as blood family can be. I never realized how much I missed having them in my life until I didn't have them anymore and to have found them has given me tremendous healing and comfort. A word to all who read this: cherish those you hold dear and love them every day and don't take one moment for granted. I'm not.
I sing in a Christian ministry with my family and I've been invoived in ministry of that sort for 14 years. Along with singing I am also being introduced into the speaking market ministering to ladies and families.
Before recently being diagnosed with diabetes, my favorite junk foods were Raisinettes & McDonalds. I now chow down on strawberries, grapes & pistachios. An occasional broccoli stem has become a favorite snack at times... YUM!
I love to ride bikes and for Christmas my husband bought me an amazing custom bicycle to improve my activity in life. It matches my new car! I try to ride no less than 10 miles, 3 days a week. That is slowly increasing. My family is extremely jealous of my no impact shocks! I also do water aerobics 3 days a week with my daughter and LOVE IT!
My goal in life is to be the best Christian example, not only to my family, but also to those who I come in contact with in my ministry. I love the Lord with all my heart and could never make it through this life without Him!
