Vic Koler

Bassist / Producer / Composer

About Me

Vic is a producer, composer, and one of the great talents of the electric, fretless and upright basses on the West Coast. He has performed thousands of shows in many diverse styles. He’s played bass on recordings with famed Eagles producer Bill Szymczyk and singer/songwriter Neil Diamond. Vic has performed live in concert with Eartha Kitt and Neil Sedaka. His production credits include an RIAA Certified Gold album with Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine.

Vic grew up playing traditional music in a small village just west of Cleveland and has a degree in Studio Music & Jazz from the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida. He was Music Director of the AMAN Folk Ensemble in Los Angeles for many years, and still plays hundreds of sessions and concert performances throughout Southern California.

Vic recently completed production on the new Goin' South Band CD, "Home In My Heart," which was released by California Swampland Records on November 13th.
