Zambian-born guitarist Robert Mwamba's musical career started heating up while he was attending Baruch College of the City University of New York in the early 1990's. He came under the tutelage of legendary bassist Milt "The Judge" Hinton and the bassist widely regarded as the most recorded musician in history took Mwamba under his wings.Mwamba absorbed Hinton's musical versatility and soon performed under the auspices of the world's top mainstream jazz station WBGO 88.3FM, the top smooth jazz station WQCD 101.9, as well as the top r&b & hip hop stations WBLS 107.5 and KISS FM 98.7 respectively.After graduating from Baruch College with a double major in Finance and Economics, Mwamba joined Bank of America working in Management and Investments.Mwamba also spent time studying first at the American Institute of Guitar in New York City with principal jazz instructor Peter Mazza, and then with the legendary guitarist Rodney Jones. He has since performed with a wide variety of great musicians such as Mike Phillips, Abraham Burton, Teodross Avery, J.D. Allen, Cecil Payne, Chip Shelton, Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley, Alyson Williams, Harry Whitaker, Sam Yahel, Mel Davis, Brian Charette, Adam Klipple, Fintan O'Neill, Kenny Seymour, Oliver Von Essen, Seleno Clarke, Nathan & Max Lucas, Mike Torsone, Jared Gold, Don Militello, Ditto Edwards, Jimmy "Preacher" Robins, Joe Magnarelli, Fabio Morgera, Dana Murray, Eric McPherson, Donald Edwards, Dwayne "Cook" Broadnax, Sunny Jain, Sir Earl Grice Jr, Montez Coleman, Will Terrill , Alvin R.
