Earth Today

Earth Today was founded in December 1997 (I think…) and first the name was Lopun enteet and it was more Kaaos style 82-hc and the lyrics were in Finnish. The line-up in Lopun enteet was: Tonto- voc, Tuukka- bass, Poitsu- guitar, Määttä- drums.When I came along we changed the name to Earth Today and the basis was to play Amen/Disrupt/E.N.T. style of double vocal crust. And at this point the lyrics changed into English.In the beginning Poitsu was in Earth Today and we also had lots of 2nd guitarists (about 10 different guys) and sometime in 1998 nnvander came to play 2nd guitar and when the other guitarist decided to leave nnvander was the only guitarist left and sice that we´ve had only one guitarist.In summer 1999 we recorded Demo ´99 (line up on the demo: Nynny- voc, Tonto- voc, Tuukka- bass, nnvander- guitar, Määttä- drums) and soon after the recording Määttä found some other interest in his life and after this E.T. was almost a year away from action.In year 2000 somehow we found Santtu and wheel started rolling again. With Santtu we recorded everything between 2000-2002.In 2003 Tuukka left first and from the consequences of that Tonto changed to bass and Juici (Ex-Injustice System, United Shoebrothers recs.) came to 2nd vocals.
