Hailing from the south side of Chicago, Illinois singing at the age of 15, Joyce Hurley, the impeccable seasoned Psalmist, is an anointed woman of God with a worshippers heart. She is an artist whose purpose is to lead others beyond the veil in the Holy of Holies – the very presence of God.The vision for her cd project and her ministry is the help us all process the different phases of our walk with God. When we have let Him down, when He has seen us through, when we need His touch and when we just love Him for who He is…..worship. This breadth of express, which reflects the gospel message, is a unique and very important aspect of Joyce’s ministry and character. She continually seeks to be open and available to the new things of God and wants to assist in creating a praise and worship experience that reaches every heart.It is this openness that truly distinguishes Joyce Hurley and an artist and worship leader. She sings with a vulnerability and transparency that enables God to move through her to reach the needs of God’s people. “I’m very real.†Hurley explains. “When I open my mouth, I share my experiences - my doubts, my fears, my trials and my triumphs.†It is this very honesty combined with the power of the Holy Spirit that makes every Joyce Hurley song an opportunity to encounter God.A member of the Faith Community of Saint Sabina for 17 years, Hurley served as a lead vocalist and worship leader in her tenure with the ministry. She and her husband of 15 years along with their 2 children have recently become members of New Life Covenant Oakwood Church in the Bronzeville area where the Pastor is John Hannah.Joyce’s greatest desire is to be what and where God wants her to be. Without fail she is determined to wait on the Lord!
