Rex Started playing the drums very young in the church
like most kids he grew up
imatating & listening to different cats. It was a gift from God as
his parents Lavel & Rexsell noticed
from a very young age. Rexsell begin playing with his fathers group
the Hardy Brothers when he was a youngster.
From there he stayed in the church studying other drummers as well
growing up with the very known Calvin Rodgers.
Going into highschool Rex became part of the Simeon School Marching Band & Jazz
Band
reading music as well Rex became more into the drumming @ hand..
Meeting different drummers on the scene Teddy Campbell, Nisan
Stewart, Jarod Barnes took Rexsells thinking of drumming to the
next level.. Thats really the beginning of what started Rexs Career.
In 2004 while ending The Ladies Nite Out Tour w/ Avant, Jagged Edge, Ginuwine &
Joe....
Rex received an invitation to take on the huge drum chair of the Mary J. Blige
Gig.. Her
2004 Love & Live Tour was about to kick off.. Rex Toured with Mary J. for about
6months
after that playing with the Legendary Chaka Khan for about 1year.. Now back with
Mary J. Blige
for the 2006 Breathrough World Tour.. Hes trying to establish himself as 1 of
the New UpComing
