HE'S my heroI NOW WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT MY MOTHER WAS MY HERO. SHE HAD SO MANY OBSTACLES, MENTAL ILLNESS, ADDICTIONS, EMOTIONAL DISABILITIES. AND YET! I LOVE THAT. AND YET! SHE FOUND WAYS, AS WEAK AND DAMAGED AS SHE WAS, TO TRY AND BE A MOTHER. YES THERE WAS A LOT OF NEGLECT AND, SAD TO SAY, ABUSE. BUT YET! SHE MANAGED TO KEEP SOME KIND OF A CONTACT WITH ME, REGARDLESS HOW WIERD IT WAS A TIMES. SHE TRIED TO TEACH ME TO DANCE, SING OPERA, MAKE FRIED BREAD.... SHE CARRIED ME IN MORE WAYS ANYONE COULD UNDERSTAND. PROBABLY NEVER UNLESS YOU SUFFER FROM THE SAME KIND OF MENTAL ILLNESS SHE HAD. SHE'S GONE NOW. I MISS HER SO. ON HER DEATH BED SHE WAS SO FRAIL, AND SCARED TOO. SHE WAS SO AFRAID TO DIE. ALL MY LIFE I TOOK CARE OF HER. I PAID THE BILLS, PROTECTED HER. BUT I COULN'T PROTECT HER FROM DEATH. I CAN'T SAY THAT I HEAR FROM GOD, WELL MAYBE IN HIS SPECIAL WAYS, BUT I HEARD A STRONG THOUGHT ENTER ME SAYING, "KEEP HER MIND BUSY WHILE I TAKE HER HOME" SO I SANG TO HER, RUBBED HER HANDS AND FEET~TRYING TO KEEP THAT PURPLE COLOR AWAY. SEEING HER IN THAT BED NEAR DEATH MADE ME REALIZE, SHE WAS SOMEBODY'S BABY AT ONE TIME. SOMEONE WHO HELD HER, KISSED HER TINY FACE, HAD DREAMS FOR HER, ENJOYED HER GROWING. I FEEL SO SAD RIGHT NOW. SHE WAS SOMEBODY'S BABY AND I'LL ALWAYS BE HERS'. MY MOM WAS MY HERO. SHE STILL IS
