Hello, Welcome to My Space. My Name is Debbie, and I live in Riverview, Florida. I’m a transplant from Ohio. Born and raised in Cleveland. Been here almost half my life as I moved here in 1981. My true roots are from the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, a grand-daughter of coal miners, and truly proud of my mountain heritage and roots! I am a COUNTRY GIRL at heart from the many summer memories with relatives in those wonderful Majestic Mountains. Life there is simpler, unique and less complicated than the city. Even today, I live a simple country life style. Taking care of my many animals consisting of, 4 dogs, a yellow nape Parrot named Charlie, 2 Cats (who actually adopted me) flock of hens and a rooster, finches, a cockatiel, and hermit crabs. Most of my pets were originally taken in from homes were they were unwanted. I'm blessed with wonderful friends, all musicians, bluegrass and country,(many posted here in my pictures, videos, and music on this site.) I'm dabbling a bit myself with a Dobro that was homemade by a friend. A wonderful instrument! I've been a nurse for 34 years. Took a 2-1/2 year period away from nursing in the late 70's early 80's to drive a semi U.S. and Canada. Those were wonderful times, What a different lifestyle it is living on the road and in truckstops, a different place each day. What stories there are to tell! I loved it but it was difficult to make a good living when the fruit-fly epidemics hit. Went back to nursing very reluctantly after that but I'm quite content with my quiet lifestyle now.
