Mick began his musical career at the early age of 14, performing regular traditional music sessions around Dublin, his home town. Influenced by his father’s enjoyment of Irish Music & Dance, Mick started out playing percussion and singing much loved songs of the time, adding guitar soon after. His repertoire covers many music genres, including blues, country & other contemporary classics.While performing with many of the great Irish traditional musicians - Gerry (Banjo) O’Connor, Patsy Watchorn of the Dubliners, Maurice Lennon & Kieran Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing , Finbar Furey & Paul Kelly (the Mandolin Virtuoso) - Mick has had the pleasure of bringing the magic of Irish folk song to audiences as far a field as America, Asia, Australia, and throughout Europe extensively.Mick enjoys what he does thoroughly and this is shown through his ability to capture and entertain people worldwide; bringing his love for Irish Traditional Music to all nationalities. This creates a truly exciting & unforgettable experience!!Mick currently resides in Co. Cavan, Ireland, with his wife and 2 daughters. While having guest featured on many albums, he is in the process of writing his much awaited first solo album.
