Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Layouts at MySpace Toolbox !Hello to you all in Myspaz Land.
Im Jodie, Jodes, Jodeye. Im what you'd call a typical Aries, which is fine by me as I quite enjoy being a pain in the arse (not in a bad way though).
I love music, making jewellery, face painting, and food. I hate idiots, being called 'pet' or 'flower', letchy blokes and Regga.
In 1993 I left school without a clue of what to do with myself so I decided to do a Btec in Performing Arts. Not the best decision Ive ever made, but did find I had a flare in Theatrical Makeup. After a year I left and within a couple of months was head hunted by the Chairman Of The Showmans Guilde and persude a career as a Profesional Face Painter travelling with the fairgrounds. This opened a window of opportunities for me and I ended up face painting for The Sunshine Circus, Newcastle United Football Club, Newcastle Falcons, various charity organisations and childrens parties.
In 1998 I left the fair grounds to concentrate on new projects. One of which was designing and making jewellery out of Fimo. In 2001 I started a stall called 'Little In The Head' which I took around the Newcastle Underground scene selling a range of handmade ravers jewellery.
In 2005 my best friend Sneita (Cultue Shock Arts) mentioned she was putting on an event for International Womans Day and needed as many female artists ranging from spoken word to musicians. I was asked to DJ (something Id never tried) and to help form an all female vocal group with Ruth Lambert (Jazz Girl). Within 3 weeks the Smokin Sisters were formed complete with a half hour set.
In November 2005 I was asked by the 'Pirates Of Punk' to DJ at one of their gigs. The night was a huge success and was asked to be their resident DJ.
Since then I have DJed at a number of nights including Sketchy Munters ran by the one and only Miss Munter Queen.
At the moment I am resident DJ at a new rock night in Darlington, which is proving itself to be very popular with a wide a range of people. The stall is as popular as ever and under constant demand. This year I have done a wide range of festivals and events including, The Avolon Bike Fest, Thimblebery Music Fest, and have even joined forces with Newcastle City Council face painting and hairweaving for local community projects.
On top of all that I am currently studying jewellery design and silversmithing.MySpace Stuff
