A few years ago I became involved in Newcastle's Drum & Bass scene, mc-ing at a local club night 'curves' over Dark skies (resident) and Temper D (Renegade Hardware,Offkey recordings) and through that I became resident vocalist at 'The History of Dance' and vocaling over the sounds of 'Aphrodite', 'Nicky Blackmarket', '808 State' and 'Total Science'.
I went on to achieve the position of residency at Newcastle's largest Drum & Bass night 'Turbulence' improvising live over the likes of 'Fabio & Grooverider', 'Ed Rush', 'Optical' and 'Twisted Individual'.In 2005 I moved onto my first love of House music and hooked up with Mark Lowry, a resident at Newcastle's famous Shindig night. The outcome was Black Atlantic - 'No Need To Hide' (Forensic Records) and Mardel - 'Situation' (Saw Records) a massive house track featured on compilations such as 'Pure Pacha II' by Pete Tong and 'Renaissance Presents' by David Morales.Check Mardel in my top friends..I have also lent my vocal skill's to a local Hip hop band "Sewafunk"..chek them in my top friends aswell...
I'm now working on my own stuff, I don't really want to be constrained by genre and want to combine all my influences to create something really eclectic! A mixtape release will be the first taster... So watch this space!
